It’s an excellent book and it tells a lot of all kind of orchids. It’s easy to take to the orchidshop to buy new plants.

This is one of the orchidbooks that anyone who loves orchids should have.

I liked this particular book and have found it to be most helpful. I do suggest it be used as a supplement with other books though in that is is lacking in different areas. It is certainly a good quick reference guide and I am glad I own it but I certainly would not like it to be the one and only orchid book in my collection. You certainly cannot go wrong in it’s purchase though and I highly recommend.

Orchids are an everyday hobby and I have lots of references on them. I use this as a guide and identifier often. I didn’t buy it to be an overview on everything orchids just for the above and it is great for that purpose. If you know about orchids there is no single reference and it is a study that is always changing. I enjoy this book and recommend it these are your needs.

I’ve only had this book for 2 weeks, but its been a godsend! I recently purchased 5 orchids that I am not familiar with and learned by reading the entry on the specific genus how and what to use as potting medium and light requirements. I believe this will become my orchid ‘bible’.
